Yolanda Hall, BS, MEd, CLC, is a native New Yorker who currently resides in Chester, VA. She is a graduate of
Virginia Commonwealth University whose life’s work has been dedicated to educating, empowering, and introducing young people to the best version of themselves so they can stay active in their pursuit towards greatness.


Yolanda Hall is the owner of Unbreakable Minds Youth Life Coaching. Unbreakable Minds provides individual and
small group life coaching services to youth ages 15-25. They also train and facilitate conversations with adults
working in youth serving organizations to assist them in providing healthy, nurturing relationships, creating safe
spaces, and becoming overall change agents in the lives of young people. The mission of Unbreakable Minds is to
introduce teens and young adults to the best version of themselves and guide and support them on a journey to
living their best life with purpose, on purpose.


Yolanda has served three years as a Prevention Coordinator at Henrico Area Mental Health Prevention Services.
She organizes community-based afterschool programming for youth, parent education, community empowerment
and trains educators and community groups on creating environments that promote safety and wellness for
youth. Yolanda facilitates dynamic in person and virtual sessions for program participants that focus on life skills
and alcohol, substance use, and violence prevention. She incorporates mindful education practices in her programs to support social emotional learning and teaches participants how to integrate these practices into everyday living. Her journaling workshop was awarded the 2021 National Association of Counties’ Achievement

Award. Additionally, she provides training in the areas of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Awareness, Self-
Care, and Mindfulness.

Yolanda also brings with her, fifteen years of experience as a Professional School Counselor; seven of those years
serving as the School Counseling Director. She excelled in planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive, developmental school counseling programs for middle and high school civilian and military students, resulting in improved student outcomes in academics, behavior, attendance, and college and career readiness. Yolanda, wanting to shine a light on equity, diversity, and inclusion, initiated the No Place for Hate program in her middle school which earned the Governor’s recognition for two consecutive years. In the third year, the program was infused into the counseling program in all 12 middle schools in the county. Additionally, she was chosen by school staff as the 2018 Christie Award nominee. This award recognizes a support services staff member that has been exemplary in their service to students and families.


Yolanda’s presence is her superpower. She is a safe space creator who activates acceptance, hope, and humor in
everyone she meets. She possesses an innate ability to connect with people, so they feel seen, heard, and understood. Her leadership, energy, and her magnetic personality also go a long way with staff, students, and
their families. She is a team builder who coaches parents and staff to be change agents in the lives of young people. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “history will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children”. These words are the driving force behind everything Yolanda does and will continue to do to impact the lives of the young people she is called to serve.
