Chief Operating Officer - Boys & Girls Club of Metro Richmond

Sean began his career in youth engagement with his first job as a high school student working as a summer school tutor for elementary school students. This experience provided a foundation for his lifelong family and community engagement, having worked as a teacher, youth athletic coach, youth program administrator, and counselor.  

Sean’s commitment to youth and family engagement spans a 17-year career; where his leadership contributed to success for Richmond Public Schools, The Department of Parks and Recreation – Cities of  Suffolk and Chesapeake, and progressive roles within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond. Sean currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for  BGCMR. He continues to galvanize support for quality youth services and lead the operationalization of transformational youth programming in the cities of  Richmond and Petersburg. 

Sean serves on several community boards and organizations including the Richmond Urban League  Sponsoring Committee, the Out of School Time  Network Access Workgroup, and the Community  Advisory Committee for the Market @ 25th.  

A graduate of Richmond Public Schools, Sean received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a graduate of the Mini MBA program at the University of  Richmond.
